Pregnancy Care

Society may fill your mind with thoughts like pregnancy is filled with constant aches and pains and birth is unbearable. We are here to tell you that is not the case! Perfect Peace Physical Therapy is committed to providing quality care so you can enjoy your pregnancy and go into labor equipped for a joyful experience. We firmly believe being proactive and seeking preventative care is key to thriving during pregnancy and preparing for labor, so we offer pregnancy wellness visits just for you.


Clear signs you need to seek care for obstetric services: 

  • Any musculoskeletal pain such as within the back, pelvis, hips, or ribs
  • Difficulty performing your usual daily activities or finding comfortable positions to sleep
  • Sustained baby positions leading to abdominal or other bodily discomforts (may be sign of uterine ligament restrictions or other imbalances hindering baby from repositioning)
  • Experiencing incontinence or constipation 
  • Being placed on bed rest by your physician 



Services offered for pregnancy

  • Individualized therapeutic exercise taking into consideration your physical, presentation, point in pregnancy, and baby positioning 
  • Manual therapy techniques focused on ensuring proper joint mobility, alignment, and addressing muscle, myofasical, and ligamentous restrictions throughout course of pregnancy 
  • Self care eduction regarding anatomical changes, appropriate bracing, kinesiotaping, movement strategies, breast feeding positions, and perineal massage
  • Pelvic floor muscle training— both for whole-body strength and ability to relax for the birthing process
