Karinda is the founder and owner of Perfect Peace Physical Therapy.
She attended Arkansas State University where she first earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science degree and then went on to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy, Karinda began her physical therapy career in 2018 with a love for simply helping people reach their physical goals, working with diverse population groups. It was during Karinda’s pregnancy and postpartum experience in 2019-2020 she became amazed with how the female body was designed to grow, birth, and nurture a child. This led her to pursue additional education in obstetrics and pelvic floor physical therapy to better assist women in these seasons and beyond. She has received extensive training through the American Physical Therapy Association and Herman & Wallace, allowing her to provide the latest evidenced-based interventions to support women who are pregnant, postpartum, and suffering with various pelvic dysfunctions. Furthermore, Karinda has her CAPP-OB certification through the APTA, signaling expertise caring for women in the seasons around birth.
Outside of running this private practice and caring for women, she is an adjunct professor within the Exercise Science department at Randall University in Moore, OK. She is passionate for seeing students receiving quality education; thereby, allowing them to go forth and impact the health and fitness realm within our community.
Above all else, Karinda is a Christ-follower, wife to her amazing husband (Mason), and mother to her precious daughter (Adley Jo).
Lauren graduated with her Bachelor of Athletic Training degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and worked in sports medicine during her time there. She then went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. She still had a passion for fitness and athletes when starting her career, but that passion shifted following the birth of her first child in 2016. After experiencing pelvic health issues herself, Lauren found the immense benefit and importance of women’s care throughout the lifespan and especially the childbearing years and beyond.
Lauren has had additional training in the pelvic health field and in the subcategory of pregnancy and postpartum through the American Physical Therapy Association. She is also experienced in dry needling treatment and uses this tool in her clinical practice regularly. She has a passion for ensuring women have a good continuum of care throughout the whole process and have confidence in returning to desired activities without dysfunction or difficulty. Her passion for health and fitness remain an integral part of her life and her clinical practice – she greatly enjoys helping women return to high levels of fitness postpartum.
Lauren recently moved to Blanchard, OK onto a family property and is loving country life! She lives there with her husband, Todd, and three daughters, Reagan, Rylie, and Remi.
